A quick kid-friendly lunch or dinner.

This recipe is very easy and quick and makes the perfect lunch for our young kids to make. They really enjoy getting hands-on and I like that it isn’t a strict recipe and can allow for variations.

Credit: http://www.ourneverendingfootsteps.wordpress.com Note: Air fryer times and/or temperatures can vary. We use a Cosori Air Fryer preheated at 400 degrees for five minutes. Additionally, pre-cooked meat such as pepperoni or salami can be added on top (just note the air may blow them around!).

Ingredients

  • 2 pre-made 5″ or 6″ pizza crusts
  • 1 cup pizza mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce, jar or can
  • Vegetable oil spray

Directions

  1. Preheat air fryer at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
  2. Spray pizza crusts with vegetable oil (or brush if spray is not available)
  3. Top with desired pizza sauce, cheese, and meat (optional).
  4. If using 5″ pizza crusts, place both into air fryer basket. Otherwise, place one pizza at a time.
  5. Set air fryer to 400 degrees and cook in preheated air fryer for 4 minutes.
  6. Enjoy!

This is probably the most requested food in my house. It is so fast to make, with very little mess and cleanup. My kids love building their pizzas and we’ve made them with numerous different toppings, such as pepperoni, salami, or olives. As love as the topping are kept to a minimum, we haven’t had any issues with the pizza cooking.

My husband bought me the Cosori Smart WiFi Air Fryer for Christmas. It has a 5.8QT basket and we found that it fits two 5″ pre-made pizza crusts perfectly!

Prepping the pizzas is my kids’ favorite part. We used two 5″ Old Mill Mini Pizza Crusts, pizza mozzarella cheese, and a jar of Casa Visco Garlic Lover’s California Style Pizza Sauce (which my son would eat right out of the jar if I let him!).

Super simple pizza prep. Just add vegetable oil spray!

Then comes their favorite part. I let them prepare their own pizzas with a little guidance. Although they made cheese pizzas today, we have added pepperoni and salami before too.

And no recipe would be complete without a little taste testing of the ingredients.

Two things I love about this version of my new Cosori air fryer is that it has a preheat option and I can control it from my iPhone. I can set the time and tempuratue from Cosori’s VeSync app and all my husband has to do is load the pizzas in! He doesn’t like messing with my appliances and this makes it simple when I’m not in the kitchen. For the pizzas, we preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees for five minutes, pop in the pizzas, and then cook at 400 degrees for 4 minutes. Easy peasy as my son would say!

When the air fryer is done, I even get a notification on my phone and watch so I don’t forget to get the food out. The final product is some yummy kid-friendly creations that they always enjoy eating because they had a hand in making them.
